My conference took place at the Banff Spring Hotel which is an old CP hotel, now a Fairmont Hotel. There are lots of stories that this 109 year old hotel is haunted. In 1932, a bride walking down a staircase to her groom, caught her dress on fire and in a panic fell down the stairs and broke her neck. Many guests have seen her dancing in the ballroom.

I have heard rumors that there is a room on the 7th floor that has been boarded over and closed off because there were too many incidents in this room, so they closed it to the public! Creepy. Anyways, it is a beautiful hotel.

The next morning, we got up. After a leisurely breakfast, we decided to take a drive up to Lake Louise, which is about 45 minutes outside of Banff. We drove up to the Chateau Lake Louise, which is another gorgeous hotel in a pristine setting.
Along the highway, there was a herd of about 50 cariboo, just lying in a field and hanging out. I stopped to take a few pictures. These a very big animals.

The view from Chateau Lake Louise is certainly stunning. You can see ice forming on this lake. The water is crystal clear and an emerald green.
Afterwards, we went inside to enjoy some refreshments. It certainly was a table with a view.
The lobby of the Chateau Lake Louise is not too shabby either.
I love all the intricate details.
Tonight we are staying at the Cariboo Lodge. The Keg is in our hotel. I can’t wait for a nice juicy steak and a hot tub tonight.
Sometimes you just need a little getaway to feel refreshed and rejuvenated. I have been writing down ideas for my book and look forward to spending a few days this weekend writing!
Wow your getaway looks amazing! This is such a lovely place, the landscapes are beautiful ❤
Thank-you! I am blessed. Banff National Park is about 90 mins from where I live. I am truly blessed to have such a fantastic “back yard” to play in!
Amazing!
